VIA FERRATA Pelvoux (Ailefroide Gorges)

Pelvoux's via ferrata is located in Ailefroide gorges est située dans les gorges d'Ailefroide, in Vallouise-Pelvoux, in the Ecrins. It offers gorgeous views overlooking the river and the gorges, between compact granit walle.

Main features:

There are two routes with increasing difficulty with suspended and monkey bridges.

• First part: Easy and suitable for families with young children (starting from 8 years old).
• Second part: The most impressive and beautiful, as it has two challenging sections which are slightly overhanging and therefore more athletic.

Practical information:

• Duration: Between 1h30 à 2h.
• Difficulty : Suitable to beginners and families, with more athletics sectiokns for those wanting more thrills.
• Equipment : It is strongly advised to wear hiking or running shoes, weather-approrpriate clothing (windbreaker jacket) and to bring a water bottle.
• Technical gear: Harness, helmet, lanyards are provided.
• Access: The via ferrata starts at the entrance of the Ailefroide gorges, at the exit of the village of Pelvoux.

The Pelvoux via ferrata is an accessible and fun activity that allows you to experience the thrill of verticality under the supervision of a professional, all in an incredible natural environement. It is ideal for a first via ferrata experience and/or a family outing.

The Pelvoux via ferrata is located at the exit of Pelvoux and the hamlet of Les Claux. Park on the left in the parking area just before the tunnel. The via ferrata starts on the left at the tunnel entrance.
