Trad climbing course in Annot

Located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Annot and its famous sandstone cliffs are an iconic site for trad climbing in France. With its many beautiful cracks, it is the ideal place to learn how to place gear and climb cracks.

Topics covered in a course:

• Gear placement: You will learn about the different types of protection (cams, nuts, etc.), how to place and check it.
• Crack climbing techniques: You will learn the basics of crack climbing (hand and fist jams, foot jams, offwidth etc.).

Level : Be able to lead climb routes graded 5c or above.

Equipment : Participants must have their personal equipment (harness, climbing shoes, belay devices). Crack gloves and a tape roll are storngly advise. Collective equipment (ropes, quickdraws, friends) is provided, but any additional personal equipment is welcome.
